Terms of Service

Hexagram Cast (the “Service”) is operated by TinyPrism LLC (United States, “we”, “us”) at hexagramcast.com. Contact: hello@hexagramcast.com.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Hexagram Cast is a tool for casting and studying the I Ching. Casting itself is free and unlimited. We also offer paid “Deep Readings” — personalized interpretations generated by third-party AI models.

The Service is not fortune-telling or divination software. All content is provided for study, reflection, and entertainment only and does not constitute medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other professional advice, and does not predict luck, health, wealth, or specific outcomes. For important decisions, consult a qualified professional.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to make a purchase.

3. Accounts

Some features require an account. You may sign in with email or Google. You agree to provide accurate information and are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service unlawfully; interfere with or abuse it (including automated access beyond published rate limits); attempt to breach security or access other users’ data; or resell or redistribute the Service in a misleading way.

5. Payments and subscriptions

Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full payment-card details. Prices are in U.S. dollars (USD) and applicable taxes are calculated at checkout. Single readings and packs are granted as “credits.” A “Pro” subscription renews automatically for the chosen period until you cancel; you can cancel anytime via the customer portal provided after checkout. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

6. Deep Readings and AI

Deep Readings are generated by third-party large language models (e.g. Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude) from your casting and question. AI output may be inaccurate and is provided for reflection only — it is not professional advice. If a reading fails to generate, the credit used is refunded automatically (see the Refund Policy).

7. Intellectual property

The classical I Ching texts are in the public domain. The Service’s software, design, editorial interpretations, and branding are owned by TinyPrism LLC. You retain rights to the content you submit (questions, text, uploads) and grant us the license needed to process it to provide the Service.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, nor the “accuracy” of any reading.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TinyPrism LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, and our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Changes and termination

We may update the Service or these Terms; material changes will update the “Last updated” date and, where reasonable, be announced. You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State in which TinyPrism LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
